Rockets : Vintage Ruby and Diamond Stud Earrings in 14ct Gold Circa 1980

Small marquise cut gemstones had a fashion moment in the 1980s – you’ll find interesting arrangements of wee marquise cut rubies and sapphires in designs from this period, often paired with diamonds. I love the symmetry of these, they remind me of hot pink rockets �� Manufacture:  These vintage stud earrings are modelled in 14ct yellow gold, with a touch of rhodium plating around the diamond. There are no hallmarks present, the gold fineness has been verified by XRF test. The studs are held in place with 9ct gold butterfly backs, hallmarked 375. Silicone backs will also be included. Each earring is set with three hot pink marquise cut natural rubies and one small round brilliant natural diamond. The gemstones have been verified by an independent gemologist as natural earth mined gems. Each ruby measures 4.5mm x 2.4mm with an approximate total carat weight of 0.72 carat. The diamonds have a diameter of 1.5mm – 0.03 tdw The earrings measure 9.27mm x 6.28mm. Weighs 1.24 grams (pair) Condition:  Very good vintage condition. No faults to note. Ready for immediate wear.
