An authentic Australian Art Deco diamond ring in 18ct gold and platinum made by esteemed family jewellers Catanach’s of Melbourne – established in 1874 and still trading today. Two ‘daisy’ clusters sit side by side, in a sparkling medley of transitional cut and Swiss cut diamonds. The low profile and combination of precious metals and natural gemstones makes it an ideal engagement ring for lovers of authentic vintage jewellery. Representing purity, innocence, loyalty, and new beginnings, daisies made perfect symbols for love and commitment. The double daisy can also be interpreted as a twist on the traditional two-stone “Toi et Moi” engagement ring, meaning ‘you & me’. The halo of diamonds around the two centre stones might symbolise all your friends and family. Manufacture: Handmade in 18ct gold and platinum, hallmarked 18c and Plat to the inside of the band, along with the Catanach’s maker’s mark. The face of the ring including all the stone settings are modelled in platinum with the shank in 18ct. This combination of precious metals provides a secure setting that enhances the brilliance of the diamonds, with the silky feel of 18ct gold against the skin. The diamonds have been verified by an independent gemologist as natural earth mined diamonds. The centre stones are early brilliant aka transitional cut diamonds, cut by hand and with the greatest of care. They measure about 10 points each and have been graded as I-J in colour and Si clarity. The halo of gemstones surrounding the larger stones are Swiss cut, as are the two little diamonds tucked into the shoulders. The combined diamond carat weight is approximately 50 points or 1/2 carat. The face of the ring measures 12.53mm x 6.9mm. Sits 3.39mm high on the finger. Weighs 2.18 grams. Size: (Aus / UK) K (USA) 5.25 (International) 50 Somewhat resizable – sizes from H/4 to O/ 7.25 are all manageable, and possibly a little larger.
