This one ticks all the boxes: – two tone 18ct gold – engraved patterning – high quality bright white diamonds – notable maker – excellent condition and it just gets better when you meet her in person ♥ Handmade by the highly regarded Stevenson Brothers of Adelaide, this band is not only appealing for its aesthetics and wearability, but is also a delight for any collector of Australian jewellery. Most early Australian jewellers were immigrants, arriving in the colonies with a full suite of skills and tools – the Stevenson Brothers however, were born in Australia in the 1850s and apprenticed in Melbourne. Their work is regarded as some of the finest & my Australian jewellery books froth over them. The Adelaide chapter of the Gemological Association of Australia still awards a Stevenson’s prize each year to the highest achieving graduate. This example of Stevenson jewellery is circa 1940s, made by the second generation of Stevensons. Manufacture: Handmade in two tone white and yellow 18ct gold. Hallmarked 18c Stevenson to the inside of the band, the gold fineness has been verified by XRF test. Twelve small but powerful bright diamonds are grain set into the white gold face of the band. The band transitions to yellow gold at the shoulders. The sides and perimeter are covered in fine engraved patterning that has gently softened with age and wear. There is a little gap in the engraving at the back of the band, making it suitable for resizing. The ring is 1.12mm wide all the way around. Sits 1.8mm high on the finger, tapering to 1.2mm at the back of the band. Weighs 2.06 grams Size: (Aus/UK) L 1/2 (USA) 6 (International) 51.75 Somewhat resizable due to the small break in the engraving at the back of the band. Please get in touch for a quote, or to find out if it can be sized to your requirements. Condition: Excellent. No faults to note. Ready to dazzle you all the way through your happily ever after.
