$38.97
$73.65
A classic men’s antique signet ring in the “renaissance revival” style, now absolutely unisex to the modern antiques aficionado. Set with a shield shaped carnelian agate and set into a low-profile 15ct gold mount with classical motifs on the shoulders. Inside the ring are hallmarks for British jewellers Deakin & Francis, established in 1786 and still trading. Manufacture: Modelled in 15ct gold and set with a shield shaped tablet of carnelian agate. British hallmarks for 15ct gold and makers marks for Deakin & Francis are found inside the band. Unfortunately the date letters have been lost in an old resizing, but it can be dated by the styling of this ring – classically late Victorian/ Edwardian, circa 1880 – 1910. 15ct gold was discontinued in Britain in 1932. The signet ring measures 11.6mm at the face, tapering to 3mm at the back of the band. The carnelian measures 10.7mm tall x 9.5mm wide. Low profile at 2.3mm high on the finger. Weighs 4.18 grams. Size: Traditionally, signet rings were worn on the pinky finger of the non-dominant hand. Contemporary fashion is more flexible, allowing you to wear them on any finger. (Aus/UK) P 1/2 (USA) 8 (International) 56.5 Somewhat resizable – up or down by 2 sizes shouldn’t be an issue. Please get in touch for a quote or to ascertain if it can be sized to your requirements. Condition: Good antique condition, with wear commensurate with age and use. Signs of resizing and some scuffing to the carnelian – this could be polished out whilst set. Ready for immediate, everyday wear.
